	Breast Augmentation | Breast Implants Breast Augmentation (Breast Enlargement) can restore a woman’s self confidence by augmenting with Breast Implants (either silicone or saline). Rather than offer a one size fits all, Dr. Christman spends a lot of time discussing the wishes and needs of each individual patient – selecting the right set of implants to fit the patient’s expectations, not his own.Because many women develop breast hardness following augmentation, Dr. Christman discovered that the reason for this is the blood which remains in the breast pocket. This can cause capsular contracture, a condition where the implant is trapped in a tight space.To counteract this natural tendency, Dr. Christman developed an innovative and unique drainage-irrigation system whereby all the blood is removed over the post-operative period. This is time-consuming, but well worth the effort. Dr. Christman knows of no other plastic surgeon offering this service. The usual outcome is much softer and more natural breasts.
